Formal Complaints
We are committed to providing excellent member service. If we don’t meet your expectations in any way, we want to have the opportunity to put things right.
If something goes wrong, we will solve the problem as quickly and as fairly as possible. When handling complaints we will:
· be approachable – we will make it easy for you to contact us
· listen – we will always give your feedback the attention it deserves
· be fair – we will deal with you fairly, politely and promptly
· give you feedback – we will give you an explanation and an apology if our service hasn’t met your expectations; and
· communicate with you – we will try to make sure that you are satisfied with the way we have dealt with the matter
We will try to resolve all complaints within 5 working days. Sometimes this is not possible, but we will let you know this and give you a guideline as to when you might expect a response. In any event, you will receive an update no later than 20 working days from the date of the complaint.
If the complaint relates to a financial product or service and is still unresolved within 40 working days, you have the right to have the matter referred to the Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman (FSPO) | Ireland.
If the complaint relates to a breach of the Equal Status Act (which prohibits discrimination in the provision of goods and services under certain grounds including disability), and has not been resolved within 1 month, you have the right to refer the matter to the Home – Workplace Relations Commission
