In recent months, Mallow Credit Union has been working hard to rectify the I.T. issues in our Broadford branch. We are aware that this has been ongoing since the heavy snow in March and wish to inform our members that resolving this issue is a high priority for us.
For security purposes, we need to guarantee that the connectivity we have is encrypted as any weaknesses would negatively affect our entire network. The level of broadband required for this is currently not available in Broadford. It’s current limitations highlight the need for the government to urgently move forward with their National Broadband Plan to support rural homes & businesses.
In the meantime, we are investing privately in technologies, working with our I.T. providers to develop a connection that they can monitor on an ongoing basis, ensuring its’ security & functionality at all times. We have ordered a new aerial to facilitate the strength of broadband required. Progress, albeit slower that we would like, is happening and we would like to thank our Broadford members for their patience and apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused them.
However, we stand firm in our commitment to maintaining, and improving the level of credit union services in Broadford and are investing heavily to do so.
Staff in all our branches continue to their utmost to assist all our members, please contact us via phone or email if you require additional assistance and we will do our utmost to help. For a full list of branches & their contact details please click here.
