For the estimated 50,000+ homes who will contact the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul (SVP) this winter the words of the popular song “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” are totally at odds with their circumstances. For them Christmas can be the most worrying time of the year.
The board of Management at Mallow Credit Union felt that the annual Christmas donation to the SVP was more important than ever in 2021 and wanted to show their support to the tireless efforts of the SVP. It was agreed to support the SVP groups within Mallow Credit Union’s Common Bond, with a total of €5,000 being donated across North Cork & West Limerick.
Tomas O Neill, CEO of Mallow Credit Union said “We have a long-standing relationship with Saint Vincent de Paul in our communities and see just how much of an impact they have to the lives of families in our area each year. We are grateful to be able to continue to support their fundraising efforts this year and would like to wish all the SVP staff and volunteers a peaceful 2022.
